Registering your vehicle

All vehicles operated or parked on the campus by students, faculty, or staff members must be registered during registration and must display a current campus permit.  Any vehicle brought onto the campus during the school year must be registered with security within 48 hours of arrival.  This permit must be placed on the rear view mirror any time the vehicle is on campus.  Failure to do so will result in a $50 fine.  If the owner of the vehicle loses the permit tag or it is damaged beyond use, it is the vehicle owner’s responsibility to come to the security office and purchase a new tag.  This charge can be waived if the damaged tag is brought by the vehicle owner.

It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to notify security if a vehicle is sold or a new licence plate is obtained.  This is to be done within 48 hours.  Vehicle insurance is mandatory for all vehicles on campus.

The use of a motor vehicle on the university campus is a privilege and not a right.  This privilege may be suspended at any time, at the discretion of Burman administration, because of scholastic or citizenship probation, or because of parking or driving citations.
