On April 15, the Burman University Acronaires teamed up with Unspoken Testimony, FREE, and members of the Burman University Drama Society to present their first Easter-themed Homeshow. With over 500 in attendance, our students presented the story of Jesus' death and resurrection in a unique and creative way. The program was a combination of musical renditions, sign language performances, monologues, and acrobatics. Members of the campus family, as well as the community, thoroughly enjoyed the evening's program. Guests came from the local community of Lacombe, as well as distant cities such as Wetaskiwin and Edmonton.

The Burman University Acronaires are a performance-based acrobatics team composed of 30 members committed to the advancement and progress of gymnastic skills and community development. The team was established in 1973. They have performed all over the world in places such as Belize, Kenya, South America, Jamaica, as well as all over Canada and the USA. The Acronaires also reach out to their local community by offering a children’s acrobatics program designed to foster self-confidence and develop basic gymnastic techniques.

Program participants were more than happy to share such a special story with the community through their various forms of expression. They were quite pleased with the turnout, as well as the outcome of the program. They all hope that something like this can happen again on campus soon.
