Burman University Singers

The Burman University Singers have just completed our 48th year of music ministry!

Founded in 1977 by Dr. Wendolin Pazitka-Munroe, the main choir along with the smaller chamber choir have gone by several different names over the years, including CUC Singers and Choral Union. But even as the names have changed, the goal has remained the same: to carry the message of God's love in song to the campus community, across Canada and North America and beyond. This is best captured in the choir's guiding Scripture verse, taken from Romans 15:6, "That you may with one mind and one voice glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Spring Tour 2025

This year, the choir is proud to represent the university and share the Gospel in song across the Prairie Provinces, with visits to churches, long-term care centres, and schools in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Though our original plans to participate in a music festival in New York could not be fulfilled, we still look forward to a great opportunity to perform, visit new places, and make memories together.

Every year the choir's tours are made possible by the generosity of our friends and supporters. Consider a tax-deductible gift to the Burman University Singers to help with this and future trips as we make a joyful noise to the Lord.
